Artist: Marie-marguerite-françoise Rouchier, Nom De Jeune Fille Jaser

3 masterly miniatures on ivory, mounted together in one original velvet frame : portraits of 3 sister from the family Koechlin. On the reverse there is original labels with inscriptions in french(see photo) : in the middle " 3 sisters Koechlin"; on the left "Clementine Amelie Koechlin, married... , ( 1801 - 1895); on the right " Laure Leocadia Koechlin, married ..Carlos Forel". One of three miniatures signed in french lower right : " M- lle( Miss) Jaser". Marie Marguerite Francoise Jaser (married Rouchier) was famous miniature painter in Paris, born in Nancy in 1782 , died in 1873, studied iat the beginning of carrier by J.B.Claudot in Nancy, afterthen in Paris by Aubry and Isabey for miniature painting and by Regnault - for oil painting. Bouchot calls, probably erroneously, also Augustin as her teacher. After Gabet she already exhibited in 1808 in the Salon, where she in 1822, 1827 and 1831 under her maiden name, and in 1833/1844 as Mme Rouchier miniature portraits in the style of Isabey showed, among them portrait of Princess Caroline Amalie, wife of the King of Denmark Christian VIII (painted in 1821; in Palast Rosenborg , Copenhagen); the Mlle (Miss) de Berry (M.L.Th of Bourbon) and the Duke of Bordeaux.

Technique:  each - gouache on ivory. original bronze oval frames , mounted together in one original frame, covered with blue velvet.

Measurements:   all miniatures with similar dimensions: images w 2 1/4" x h 2 3/4" (5,5 x 7 cm), framed w 9" x h 10" (23 x 25,5 cm)

Condition:   aill miniatures are in  good condition.
