Georges Appert (Épernay, September 1, 1850 - Paris 5th, March 28, 1934) was a French university historian, writer and Japanologist, jurist and professor of law at the University of Tokyo. From 1879 to 1889, Appert was a foreign adviser to the Meiji government.
