Large Neoclassical Bronze And Silver Ewer.
Artist: Roux Marquiand
Important 18th-century style classic silvered bronze ewer from the early 20th century by the Roux Marquiand factory. A very fine piece from this renowned Lyon-based firm, which created many beautiful works, notably for the French Presidency. The factory was founded by two talented partners, one for sculpture and the other for silvering techniques. The factory hallmark, R MA, is present on the neck. Note the exquisite elegance of the piece and the magnificent sculpture of the female figure in solid silvered bronze. The ewer is in excellent condition, both overall and with a beautiful patina. It is very stable thanks to its weight and base. Diameter: 13 cm. A highly decorative and collectible piece. Shipping available within France and worldwide via secure, insured package with order tracking. Invoice and certificate provided. Collection is possible in person at Mas d'Avalrich, Montéscot 66200 (Tel: +33 6 11 14 25 33) or at my stand at the Montpellier trade fair, held every two months.
