A very large 74-piece dinner service from the 19th century, made by the Minton factory. This exceptional Victorian service was created in 1859 by Christopher Dresser. It features a Chinese Diaper pattern, beautiful in its design and vibrant colors. Each piece is signed. The service is in excellent overall condition, including the glaze and the preservation of the colors. The 74-piece service comprises: a pair of low compote dishes; a pair of tall footed bowls; a 28 cm vegetable dish; a compote dish with a handle; two large 32.5 cm round platters; two medium 31 cm round platters; and a long sauce boat. A round gravy boat. An oval platter (38.5 x 30.5 cm). Two small serving dishes. Eight soup plates. Twenty-one dessert plates (23 cm diameter). Thirty dinner plates (26 cm diameter).
