Processional Cross In Marble And Bronze, 17th Century
Processional cross in marble and bronze, retaining its original mercury gilding. The marble is an Egyptian granite known as "green flower granite." The supporting nails, the figure of Christ, the INRI (National Institute of Religious Interest), and the skull are made of silver. The cross is missing the spheres that originally adorned its sides, top, and bottom. The base is made of Portoro marble, from a later period. Rome, 17th century.
