Jean Keuléyan-Lafon was born in Paris in 1886. His father was the artist François Lafon (1846-1913), and his grandfather, Jacques-Émile Lafon (1817-1886), was also an artist. A landscape and seascape painter, Lafon specialized in moonlit seascapes. He exhibited at the Salon de l'École française and at the Galerie Giordano in Palma, Paris. Jean Lafon died in 1973. The painting depicts the coast of Cap Ferrat at sunset. On the back is the inscription "Lafon April 1953." The painting only needs cleaning. Frame from the 1950s.
