Royal Copenhagen, Denmark. Hand-painted porcelain collectible figurine. Titled "Faun with Bear." Model number 648. Originally sculpted in 1906 by Christian Thomsen (Danish, 1860–1921). Used by Royal Copenhagen from 1898 until his death in 1921.
This figurine of the satyr Pan, a mythological and fantastical figure, was produced in 1953 (a bar under the A in "Copenhagen". First factory). Signed and marked with three blue wavy lines, the artist’s initials “FN,” and the “RO” mark on the back, with the artist’s initials “TCh” stamped on the side.
