Early 19th Century Empire Pendulum Clock In Gilt Bronze
Refined Empire pendulum clock, made of lost-wax cast and gilded bronze. The clock features a rectangular base, shaped and adorned with plant-like decorations, and a volute structure with festoons, leaves, and geometric decorations. Finally, it topped with a neoclassical amphora vase. The clock features a dial, protected by an opening mirror, featuring Roman and Arabic numerals, with gilded bronze hands. It also features a key, and the mechanism chimes the hours and half-hours. This is a clock of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class to any space. French manufacture from the Empire period, circa early 19th century.
