Oil on panel depicting an intimate chiaroscuro scene, a style much appreciated by the Dutch school and inspired by everyday life. Our painting is in the style of the painter Quirijn van Brekelenkam (1622-1669), a Dutch Golden Age painter known for his genre paintings, interior scenes, and portraits.
