Charming oil on canvas (relined in the 19th century), probably originally a door or overmantel painting, depicting a pastoral scene of a young peasant presenting a basket of flowers and fruit to a young shepherdess surrounded by two young women and sheep. In fine condition, the work is presented in a Louis XVI style giltwood frame.
