A substantial 18th-century hunting cutlass with its scabbard. Bone grip with three shuttle-shaped rivets and a flat pommel with a long tang and rivet button. Chain connecting the pommel to the quillon. Openwork crossguard on both sides. Strong, curved blade with a flat back, single edge and false edge, 13 cm long. Leather scabbard with three engraved mounts. Chape with one ring and openwork decoration identical to the crossguard on both sides. Openwork and engraved suspension ring with the same motif + suspension ring. Long chape ending in a ball, see photos. Length: 75 cm. Length without scabbard: 73 cm. Blade length: 59 cm.
