A substantial 18th-century hunting cutlass with its scabbard. Bone grip with three shuttle-shaped rivets and a flat pommel with a long tang and rivet button. Chain connecting the pommel to the quillon. Openwork crossguard on both sides. Strong, curved blade with a flat back, single edge and false edge, 13 cm long. Leather scabbard with three engraved mounts. Chape with one ring and openwork decoration identical to the crossguard on both sides.
