Strong iron-mounted sword for gendarmerie and cavalry, Louis XIV (1638-1715) and Regency (Philippe d'Orléans) periods, late 17th and early 18th centuries. Periform pommel with rivet button. 2 main guard joint arcs with 2 superimposed balls connected by tenon to the pommel and by 2 secondary oblique branches. 2 guard bridges pierced open, one of which is heart-shaped and thumb-shaped. Inflected quillon ending in a cone. Filigree steel wire fuse in reverse chevron with 2 full rings. Flat oval blade with 2 edges with median fullers on its base bearing the inscription on both sides in baton letters "In MINI" and engraving of the Solingen mark "Au loup de Passau courant" as well as a punch on the heel of the blade.
