Elegant Pair Of Silver Single-light Candlesticks

Elegant pair of silver single-light candlesticks, made in Italy in the early 20th century and characterized by a refined reinterpretation of the Rococo style. The candlesticks stand on a shaped trilobed base supported by three openwork feet and richly decorated with shell motifs, rocaille scrolls and floral elements in relief. From the center rises a slender and gracefully shaped stem articulated with several knops and embellished with finely chased floral cartouches that enhance the dynamism and elegance of the composition. The shaped drip pan echoes the decorative language of the base, creating a harmonious ornamental continuity. The upper part is completed by a removable candle socket, finely decorated with scrolling foliage and textured backgrounds. The ensemble stands out for the quality of its casting and chasing and represents a refined 20th-century interpretation of 18th-century French Rococo models.
