Missal Of The Lyonnais Rite - Rare 1866 Edition
In 1866, Cardinal de Bonald, Primate of the Gauls, promulgated a missal whose title foreshadows its contents: *Missale Romano-Lugdunense, sive missale Romanum in quo ritus Lugdunenses ultimi tridui ante Pascha, ordinis missae et vigiliae Pentecostes auctoritate Sanctae Sedis Apostolicae iisdem ritibus romanis proprio loco substituuntur*, meaning: *The Roman-Lugdun Missal, or Roman Missal in which the Lyonnais rite of the last three days before Easter, the order of the Mass, and the Pentecost vigil are replaced by the same Roman rites in their respective places by the authority of the Holy Apostolic See*.
