A beautiful work, this scene of the Crucifixion in straw marquetry. Our medallion is surrounded by four rigorously symmetrical elements offering delicate and precise work of so-called Boulle marquetry. This technique allows you to play with the specificities and richness of several materials, via careful cutting. Here in the same material but in a different shade which allows for interesting plays of light.
The set benefits from a gilded and sculpted wooden frame with an elegant patina.
