Important Louis XV Altarpiece - Circa 1700
A curved altar in molded and carved wood, lacquered and richly gilded, adorned with an elegant decoration of shells and foliate scrolls. The ensemble includes its tabernacle, altarpiece, and steps, forming a harmonious liturgical unit. The altar retains its marble altar stone with its relic.
The antependium opens at the rear with two molded doors for storing chasubles. A late 17th or early 18th-century work, originating from a chapel in the Grenoble region.
In good condition despite the absence of the trumeau canvas – some losses and minor damage. In three sections.
