A captivating kilim originating from the Maraş region of Anatolia. In reality, it is a fragment or section of a larger kilim; the other half is missing! Exquisite and exquisite work. The embroidered star motifs lead to its being classified as "Yildiz Maraş" (Yildiz, meaning star in Turkish). Mixed media technique: wool on wool. Woven and embroidered using a second weft thread. Beautiful vegetal hues, with a striking presence of luminous and deep indigo blue. Ideal for a narrow hallway or wall hanging. Circa 1900/1920. Excellent condition. Dimensions: 310 x 65 cm.
