Goya - 18th Century Drawing Witches

French School, late 18th century, follower of Goya.
A knight addressing a circle of witches/spirits during a ritual – Jerusalem Delivered?
Pen and black ink over black chalk lines.
22 x 20 cm (sight size) - 40 x 38 cm (framed).
Very good condition.
Mid-19th century frame.

A very interesting drawing, a subject from epic literature (Jerusalem Delivered/Arthurian myth/Nibelungenlied), probably by a hybrid European artist in the style of Loutherbourg. A clear influence of Goya. In perfect condition.
