Large study depicting the head of a veiled nun. The inclined face and contemplative expression give the figure a quiet, meditative character, while the ample drapery surrounding the head occupies much of the composition.

The drawing comes from a Florentine group of sheets including anatomical studies, notes and architectural drawings, formerly preserved within an old family connected to the city’s cultural circles.
