19th-century Romantic drawing in the style of the Romantic school of David, Gros, Gerard, and Ingres. The drawing is based on Girodet's painting (1767-1824) "Young Nymph at Her Bath" and Aubry-Lecointe's engraving "Bather" (1797-1858). It includes some variations from the lithograph (the hand on the shoulder and the hairstyle are omitted). Note the quality of the drawing in the hand, ear, and drapery. There is some foxing, and the drawing is fully mounted on cardboard.
