Mid-19th Century Napoleon III Drop-down Chest Of Drawers
Elegant drop-down chest of drawers, crafted from finely carved solid mahogany, with geometric inlays of ebonized wood and fruitwood. The piece features truncated pyramid legs with gilded bronze finishes and three drawers, one large and two smaller, for storage. The drop-down chest also serves as a writing desk, as the roller at the top reveals additional drawers, useful for storing small items, including stationery, and a red leather-covered top, which can be pulled out further. This piece of furniture is in good condition, displaying great taste and refinement, and will add a touch of class to any space. French manufacture from the Napoleon III period, around the mid-19th century.
