Refined, finely carved, solid walnut writing desk of modest size. The desk is rectangular in shape, with molded legs joined by a molded crosspiece. The front features two small drawers, ergonomically designed for storing small items. The distinctive feature of this desk is the fold-out top, which reveals a vanity with a removable mirror and a red leather writing surface with gold-engraved decorations. This is a writing desk of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class and antique appeal to any space. French manufacture, Louis-Philippe period, mid-19th century.
