"Pair Of Empire Vases In Paris Porcelain With Biscuit Porcelain Handles - Rotating Landscapes"
A beautiful pair of amphora-shaped biscuit porcelain vases with side handles adorned with female masks. Empire/Restoration period – early 19th century, circa 1820. Beautifully decorated with Italian landscapes known as "circulating" landscapes: the scenery wraps continuously around the vase. Exquisite burnished gilding covers the entire vase. A fairly large piece, of very refined craftsmanship, they would make excellent additions to a display cabinet or mantelpiece. Our vases are in excellent condition, with very fresh and well-preserved gilding. There is no damage except for a small chip on one of the vases at the joint between the vase and its base, and on one corner. Height: 26.8 cm
