Japanese half-mask (menpo), patinated wrought iron ressei, red lacquered interior, horsehair moustache, highlighted on the upper lip by a red lacquer line, open mouth with visible teeth.
Throat guard (yodarekake): dark brown lacquered iron with five lamellae laced with a green cord. 3 breaks in places.
Removable nose.
Minor damage: chips and 3 cord breaks.
Mid-Edo period (1603-1868).
