Model 1822 T BIS cavalry pistol from the Imperial factory in Châtellerault.Manufactured in 1855. Short, five-sided barrel marked 1855, C de 176A for the 17.6 mm caliber, F and .C markings. Barrel length 20 cm, breech tang engraved Mle 1822 BIS.
Walnut stock (a break in the buttstock, likely repaired at the arsenal).
Serial number 1446.
All metal and brass parts stamped by inspectors, including the ramrod.
Lockplate clearly marked Imperial factory. The mechanism is in perfect working order.
