Sumptuous Karabag rug originating from Armenia. Woven and knotted wool on wool in the traditional manner. Remarkable wool quality, very soft, almost silky. Like most antique Caucasian rugs, the pile is rather short, the knotted point precise and regular. Boteh motifs across the entire central field, surrounded by floral borders.
