Provençal farmhouse in Sainte-Maxime by Gabriel Fournier (1893-1963) in 1920. Originally from Grenoble, he moved to Paris in the 1910s to study at the École des Beaux-Arts and the École des Arts Décoratifs. He then associated with the leading painters of the School of Paris, including Modigliani, Picasso, Soutine, and Kisling, and was under contract with the art dealer Zborowski. The painting has undergone some minor restoration and is framed in a molded and painted wooden frame. It is signed in the lower right corner, titled, dated, and signed on the back. Without the frame, it measures 22 x 27 cm.
