Charles Tirbour: Set Of Six Solid Silver Teaspoons. Imperial Decoration Of Swans.
Artist: Tirbour
Superb set of six solid silver teaspoons in the Empire style.
The base of each spoon is decorated on both sides with a swan with outstretched wings. The handle, decorated with a net pattern, joins the back of the bowl in a broad palmette motif.
Each spoon is hallmarked:
Minerva 1st standard mark (pre-1973) for 950/1000 silver
Silversmith's mark Tirbour in full with a travel bag. Probably for Charles Tirbour. However, the referenced hallmark for this silversmith has the initials CT and is different; I don't know if it's the same silversmith or a member of his family.
A very beautiful set of spoons, understated and elegant with this swan decoration, a tribute to the Imperial era.
11.8 cm long
98.72 grams
Very good condition. Minor scratches from use.
Collection in person in Paris or insured shipping via Colissimo.
France: €15
Europe: €20
Rest of the world: €35
