"Denamur Doll No. 9 - Late 19th Century"
Denamur Doll No. 9 - Late 19th Century, circa 1895. Doll marked on the neck "E9D déposée" (registered), 51 cm tall. Open mouth, made of pressed bisque. The doll's head has superb fixed blue/grey enamel eyes and an open mouth with a row of molded teeth. Her ears are pierced. She has been restored; there is a large crack on her forehead at the edge of the crown (see photo). Her body is articulated and in very good condition, but has been repainted. She is dressed in a pretty period dress, bloomers, and a petticoat. The entire outfit could use a wash. Please feel free to ask for more photos if needed.
