Epinal plate with a rooster - Late 18th - Early 19th century. A high-fired plate with eight lobes, a characteristic Epinal decoration. Decorated with a rooster resting on a grassy mound. The rim is decorated with three bouquets. A similar plate is reproduced in the reference book. Good condition: note two hairlines at 10 and 2 o'clock (see photos) and one small chip visible on the back. Diameter 22.7 cm
