Louis XV Style Flat Desk, Rosewood Veneer And Rich Gilt Bronze Mounts, Late 19th Century

A Louis XV style flat desk, richly adorned with gilt bronze mounts, including female finials (espagnolettes) at the corners, bronze feet, and metal stringing.
The lines are elegantly curved (undulating apron and cabriole legs), with three drawers in the front.
The top is protected by a glass panel. The veneer (probably rosewood) and the quality of the bronze mounts suggest a late 19th – early 20th century manufacture, in the Louis XV style, reflecting the taste of Parisian productions during the Napoleon III period.
An elegant Louis XV style flat desk resting on four cabriole legs terminating in gilt bronze sabots.
The undulating frieze opens with three drawers in the front and features a metal stringing decoration highlighting the panels.
The corners are adorned with superb bronze mounts depicting female figures in the style of espagnolettes, adding refinement and character to the whole. Beautiful veneer with warm grain, top protected by glass.
