"French Gilt Bronze Clock"
A French-made gilt-bronze table clock dating to around 1830. The upper part is surmounted by a full-relief sculpture of Napoleon Bonaparte in full uniform, set on a circular base. The central body, shaped like a square column, houses a white enamel dial with Roman numerals enclosed within a chased laurel wreath. The rectangular base is decorated with two imperial eagles on the sides and a central festoon, the whole resting on four spherical supports. The internal mechanism is equipped with a wire suspension.
