Khorjin (bag) Qashqai. Persian. Circa 1900. 55 X 52 Cm

A very beautiful Khorjin Qashqai originating from Persia. Khorjin are satchels formerly used by nomads for transporting goods. This one is in a near-miraculous state of preservation. Absolutely impeccable. The front is knotted, the back woven. The closure system with five rings that fit into the slots in the upper part is intact and therefore functional. It can consequently be used as a magnificent cushion. The finely woven back features deep, rich burgundy hues. The knotted front has a design centered around an octagonal medallion surrounded by borders with stylized floral motifs on an indigo blue background. Marvelous! Perfect condition. Circa 1900.
