Magnificent kilim originating from Bergama/Balikesir in Northwest Turkey. The main characteristic of this kilim lies in the exclusive use of two colors: deep blue and carmine red. Some motifs are highlighted with white cotton edging. The motif that winds across the central field and appears to eat its own tail is that of a dragon.
