Paris Porcelain Figure – Renaissance Character With Dog

Paris Porcelain Figurine – Renaissance Figure with Dog. Manufacturer: Vieux Paris. Period: 19th century. Height: 28 cm. Material: Polychrome and gilt porcelain. An elegant Paris porcelain figurine depicting a young gentleman dressed in Renaissance style, richly attired in a blue doublet trimmed with gold, finely decorated purple hose, and blue boots. The figure is accompanied by a dog, a symbol of fidelity, adding charm and liveliness to the scene. The figure sits on a rocky mound resting on a substantial, openwork, scalloped base, lavishly decorated with gilt scrolls. The polychromy is particularly vibrant and refined, with a beautiful quality of glaze and gilding that is still very present, characteristic of Vieux Paris productions in the 19th century. Very good overall condition for its age, with slight wear to the gilding and minor signs of use, consistent with its age. A decorative object of great elegance, ideal for a collector of antique porcelain or for a classic and refined decoration.
