Set Of 4 Claw Feet For A 19th-century Earthenware Stove
Rare set of four earthenware claw feet for a Lorraine or Alsatian stove. 19th century. Probably Sarreguemines. Made of ivory-white glazed earthenware, they are designed to wrap around the wrought iron base to conceal it. This accessory, which adds character to an antique stove, is one that has often been lost. In very good condition, with a small chip in the glaze on one claw. Intact, not broken or repaired. Height 10.5 cm. Usable diameter 2.5 cm for the wrought iron base.
