Antique Photographic Portrait Of A Child In Its Original Frame – Late 19th/early 20th Century

Large antique photographic portrait of a young boy, probably taken in a photography studio in the late 19th or early 20th century.
The child is shown in a bust portrait, facing forward, dressed in a dark three-piece suit with a white shirt, bow tie and pocket watch, in accordance with the bourgeois dress codes of the time.
The photograph is mounted in its original frame, richly moulded and gilded, decorated with scrolls and foliage. The reverse side retains an old mounting with protective paper.
A typical family portrait intended to be displayed in the home. It is a photographic, social and decorative artefact.
Condition: Photograph in good overall condition, with uniform patina.
Frame in good condition despite small losses of moulding on the left.
