Set of 15 Antique Stereoscopic Glass Plates – Algeria circa 1900. Set of 15 stereoscopic glass plates (11 x 4.5 cm), published by Guilleminot, preserved in their original box.
Locations depicted: Biskra, Touggourt and surrounding areas – Algeria, North Africa (early 20th century).
Subjects visible: Civil engineering works, Bridge construction, Military personnel, Colonists and local inhabitants, Lively streets of Arab villages, Scenes of life in a colonial context.
Positive glass plates, clear image, well-preserved contrast.
Very good overall condition for plates over 100 years old.
Note: a broken corner on one plate, and another photo  very black. Nevertheless, I maintain it. 
Original Guilleminot box present and labeled.
Geographic attribution according to an old handwritten note on the original box: “Biskra, Touggourt and surrounding areas”.
The plates do not have individual captions.
Sold as a complete set, not Detachable.
