"Mahogany Chest Of Drawers, Louis-philippe Style – Late 19th Century"
A beautiful Louis-Philippe commode from the late 19th century, crafted from solid mahogany and mahogany veneer. The top is made of Sainte-Anne marble with rounded front corners. This piece features five drawers. The frieze is molded in an ogee shape, creating an elegant curve beneath the top. This frieze conceals the first drawer. Below, the molded frame of the front adds a subtle relief and highlights three large drawers. These drawers feature a mahogany veneer on the front, arranged in an open book pattern, creating a symmetrical grain pattern. These drawers are equipped with keys and functional locks. A final drawer is concealed within the plinth, offering clever storage solutions. This commode exudes an impression of balance and simplicity, combined with magnificent mahogany tones.********Period: Late 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
