A Louis XIV period (17th century) carved walnut column, re-lacquered in gray. The fluted shaft is surmounted by a richly carved Corinthian capital. The twisted lower section rests on a square base. (The base and top of the capital are later additions; there is some pitting on the shaft and a few losses). Louis XIV period (17th century). Capital dimensions: 20cm x 20cm
