Object description :

"Console In Carved And Gilded Oak Louis XVI Period XVIII"
Console in carved and gilded oak from the Louis XVI XVIIIth period, richly carved belt with a frieze of interlacing in pearl frames. The angles sculpted with exploded pomegranates are connected to mascarons by garlands of finely sculpted water flowers. It rests on two winding feet adorned with pearls, foliage and ribbon, connected by a spacer on which rests a covered fire pot sculpted with twisted fluting and interlacing, enhanced by a garland of water flowers. Original molded royal red marble top in very good condition. Beautiful state of conservation, original gilding with gold leaf in very good condition. We will notice the finesse of the work of sculpture and the quality of execution of the cabinetmaking by its flared shape and its assembly entirely in oak. Beautifully crafted Parisian work from the Louis XVI period inspired by the models of the Ateliers JACOB of this period.
