Antique solid brass surveying instrument with prismatic readings, signed Bathelemy, Paris, dating from the second half of the 19th century (circa 1860-1870). This magnetic instrument was used by surveyors and engineers for land surveys, determining directions, and orienting plans. It is presented with its original wooden case, fitted with brass handles.
