Object description :

"Large Abstract Composition By Pietro Righettini - Bornic (1924-2017) Italy, Switzerland, Geneva"

Large abstract composition by Pietro Righettini – Bornic (1924–2017), Italy / Switzerland, Geneva, Abstract Art.

A large-format work with strong decorative potential. Its aesthetic—characteristic of lyrical and informal abstraction—together with the relief-like treatment of the material, gives it a real visual presence, typical of the graphic explorations of the 1970s.

Technique and support: Mixed media, likely using gouache and inks with reserve effects and reticulation on heavy paper.

Central composition with organic and mineral forms. Material work featuring honeycomb-like textures and depth effects created through chromatic layering. Palette dominated by shades of gray, brown, earth tones, and teal-blue on a light background. Overall, it evokes the research of lyrical or informal abstraction.

Signed “Bornic” at the lower right and countersigned on the back.

Very good condition. Loose sheet, never framed (kept in plastic). Note: slight studio marks on the verso, with no impact on the front. A small tear on the left.

Dimensions:
• Width: 84 cm
• Height: 60 cm
