"Nevers Shaving Dish - Late 18th Or Early 19th Century"
Nevers shaving dish - late 18th or early 19th century. Predominantly high-fired earthenware. Nevers factory. Decorated with swans on a pond surrounded by trees and reeds. Restored using traditional methods: staples on the back. Large chip/loss of material at the 3 o'clock position, filled and repainted. Cracks at this point (see photo). Width 30.5 cm.
