A bronze vase covered in multicolored lacquer and gold decorations. The hand-painted scenes depict Chinese boys playing various instruments, as well as decorations from the world of flora and fauna: birds, flowers, including chrysanthemums and lotuses. An unusual technique for lacquering a bronze object.

Good condition, with a visible crack in the lacquer under the rim.
