"Secretary For Lady Napoleon III, Mid-19th Century"
A Napoleon III rosewood secretary desk framed in curved Rio rosewood on three sides. Appearing as a seven-drawer chest, this secretary opens with four drawers in the lower section and a drop-front above, revealing an interior with two drawers decorated with marquetry stringing and two shelves. The interior of the drop-front is lined with tan leather with a gilt binding around the edge. The secretary is topped with its original Languedoc red marble slab and richly decorated with chased and gilt bronze. The secretary is in perfect condition, with a French polish finish.
