Napoleon III Curved And Inlaid Secretary
Superb and elegant secretary desk from the Napoleon III period, curved and inlaid on 3 sides. It rests on 4 arched legs, opens on the front with 3 drawers in the lower part topped by a flap revealing 2 niches and 2 drawers inside. The entire front and sides are curved and covered with marquetry decorated with flowers on a rosewood background, ornamental bronze on the drawers, falling corners, finely chiseled feet and base of the lamp. The upper part is in ogee, also inlaid and the whole is topped with a cherry red marble. Quality work in excellent condition and conservation
