A superb small oil on panel from the early 20th century, bearing a signature yet to be deciphered, depicting a beautiful and lively Mediterranean landscape. In the foreground, the coastline and its rocks alternate between shadow and sunlight, while in the background, we can make out a small boat with fishermen, sailboats, and more rocks. This painting is inspired by the themes and technique of the works of Jean-Baptiste Olive, with its impasto, reflections in the water, and distinctive light. It is presented in a very fine gilt frame of wood and stucco, which enhances its beauty. Frame dimensions: 37 x 42 cm.
