Lithograph on China paper by Henri Rivière, numbered 10 and signed in pencil by Rivière. Plate dimensions: 90 x 64 cm, image dimensions: 82 x 52 cm. Framed dimensions: 105 x 80 cm. Framed with museum-quality, anti-reflective, UV-protective glass. This is one of eight "Parisian Landscapes," a series published by Verneau in 1900, which enjoyed great success at the time. One of 25 rare lithographs from the deluxe edition on China paper (compared to 1,000 copies of the regular edition on vellum), numbered and signed by Rivière in the margin. China paper, with its superior affinity for pigments, allows for better rendering and preservation of color contrasts, which is clearly evident in our remarkably fresh copy.
