Oil on panel by Maurice Menardeau, signed lower right. Panel dimensions: 27 x 22 cm, 41 x 36 cm in its Montparnasse wooden frame. Depicts the Peneroff quay in Concarneau, which he made his home port in 1924. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1924 and was appointed Painter of the Navy in 1936. In this capacity, he illustrated numerous missions to Indochina, South America, and the French overseas territories. He was part of the Concarneau group of painters.
